offending nursing team to enable enhanced care in a challenging yet rewarding
place for healthcare professionals.
The role can be physically demanding as it requires high
energy and stamina to work across the Prison site. This will include running in
emergency situations.
Skills to demonstrate include effective communication skills
to deliver high standard’s of care and to enable patients to obtain a safe and
stable transition to support their healthcare needs. Excellent observational
skills should be demonstrated to minimise risk and maximise the safety of the
patients, colleagues and yourself. You will be accountable for practicing
within your own competence which will include assessment, planning,
implementing and reviewing care packages through; diagnosis, treatment and
discharge or referral of patients.
The role will include and is not limited to working within a
multidisciplinary team to provide evidence based health care to meet the
immediate needs of the patients, supporting junior team members and non nursing
team members, continuing professional development and leading healthcare specific
educational groups.
If you are a newly qualified RMN with little or no
experience in a Prison environment, do not hesitate to apply. Secure Nursing

a newly qualified nurse develop the confidence to practice competently and
become familiar with their new role and obligations under the NMC code.
